Healthwise is a new search engine to help people quickly find trusted information about healthcare issues and local NHS, Council and voluntary group services. It combines the power of Google with the trusted brand of the NHS.

Trusted Sites Only
Healthwise allows members of the public to search the web, using Google, but crucially it restricts the results presented to those coming from sites recommended by clinicians and other NHS staff. Users can therefore have more confidence in the results.

Save Time and Money
NHS Trusts can save time and money by no longer having to build and maintain directories of services and information. They simply need to ask an Administrator to add the relevant sites to their Healthwise approved list. The approved list of sites can be easily managed by a site Adminsitrator. Automatic daily checks occur on all sites in case they are no longer live and it is easy to add new sites to the list.

Distribute via Widgets
The site can be distributed widely via a series of customisable widgets, meaning the search tool can be discovered by a wide audience and depending on the nature of the crawl list, local NHS, Council and voluntary group websites can have a much higher chance of being seen.

Similar versions of Healthwise, with different crawl lists and branding can easily be produced for a range of niche NHS use cases.
