Our Work
We are currently working on more than twenty Web 2.0 projects with the NHS. To give you a flavour here are five:
Help Decide
Enables PCTs to gain useful ‘soft intelligence’ about what local people think about proposed changes to services and relative resource allocations. The tool also will allow local people to see where revenue money is spent currently, how that pattern will change as a result of PCT strategy and gain insights into the dilemmas of allocating limited budgets.
Peter Piper
Enables much more personalised and efficient speech therapy for children by creating a site where speech therapists can ‘prescribe’ a range of target sounds and exercises for children and parents to practice at home, linked to child-friendly imagery. Each client has a personal account and their therapist can easily see progress made and adjust their appointment scheduling accordingly.
Keeping Well
Helps mental health service users on their path to recovery when they return home from an in-patient episode. The friendly site connects service users to support resources, reminds people about what helps people flourish, supports sharing of experience and for those who wish to, allows service users to share their self-reported recovery progress with clinicians to help avoid unnecessary relapses.
Co-ordinate My World
Helps carers and housebound people recovering from illness to easily organise practical help and support from family and friends. The tool allows carers to spend time caring rather than organising. For people recovering alone it will take away the burden of worrying about organising everyday tasks such as shopping, necessary DIY or taking the dog for a walk.
Show Me
Grow self-care capability amongst people with long-term conditions by offering a large suite of web-based videos, within an easy to find, searchable database that links to a comprehensive resource guide of local services and information. Enable site visitors to rate videos, offer feedback and seek hints and tips from other people ‘in the same boat’.
How could we help your organisation?
